Police are investigating an aggravated indecent assault after a man broke into the 20-year-old’s accommodation at Marsfield about 3.20am (AEDT) on Thursday.
The man fled when the woman woke up.
Eastwood police were notified later in the day of the incident and the scene was examined by specialist officers.
The man is believed to be in his early 20s, dark skinned, with a thin build and dark short curly hair.
He was wearing only a pair of grey-coloured tracksuit pants.
