June 22 was World Camel Day. On this occasion, Abu Dhabi told how things are going with camel farming in the region.
The number in the emirate has increased to 476,000 individuals. Abu Dhabi authorities host camel racing and beauty pageants, organize educational lectures on the benefits of camel milk, and recently opened a biobank that will improve disease control and vaccine development.
