Bokassa Castle in France is auctioned for $ 1,200,000

A luxurious French castle belonging to the discredited leader Jean-Bedel Bokassa of the Central was sold at auction.

The residence of 550 square meters, the gardener’s house and a wooded park were purchased by a buyer in nearly $ 1,200,000.

Jean-Bedel Bokassa, who proclaimed himself emperor of Central Africa, was accused of cannibalism and feeding their lions and crocodiles personal zoo with his political rivals.

Bokassa was overthrown by French troops in 1979 and was taken to the castle overlooking the river Seine, near Paris, in 1983. He died in 1996.
