Lately, more precisely in the month of October, the mayor Olga Ramalason made a trip to Scerencs (Hungary) for the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Hungarian town and urban district of Antsirabe, stirring several areas. As part of the implementation of this bilateral cooperation, 6 Hungarian volunteers arrived last week in the capital Vakinankaratra. They were received on Friday by the representatives of the people of Antsirabe, led by the chief magistrate of the city.
The Hungarian team of volunteers is mostly composed of physicians encompassing several specialties. They volunteer for a month in basic health centers (CSB2) and several fokontany of the urban municipality of the City of Waters, the benefit of needy families from the outset.
A highlight at the national level, cooperation with Toliara, Mahajanga, Antsohihy and other cities of the island did not start yesterday. Mayors and councilors in those communities have had exchanges of experience in management or socio-economic development with officials from the capital Vakinankaratra.
It is the same at international level because the City of Waters is twinned for a long time with the towns of Mont de Marsan (France-Auvergne), Vaquois The Phoenix (Mauritius) and Stavanger (Norway). Note that Ramalason Olga is also a member of the permanent office within the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF).
