Porn-showing pastor furious with gays

A Ugandan pastor has pushed his anti-homosexual rage onto his parishioners, by screening gay pornography at his packed church.

The pastor, Martin Ssempa, a well known advocate of stronger anti-gay laws, said he had shown the graphic pictures to elicit support for a Ugandan bill drafted last year that would further criminalize homosexuality.

The screening was attended by around 300 supporters, who pushed into Ssempa’s evangelical church in the Ugandan capital, Kampala.

Ssempa told his followers it was not good enough for homosexuals to argue what they were doing in the privacy of their own bedrooms.

Before showing the footage, he said: "Do you know what they do in their bedrooms?"

The proposed anti-gay bill in Uganda initially received broad political support, but politicians later backed away when US President Barack Obama, referred to it as "odious."

Homosexuality in Uganda is already punishable by life imprisonment in some instances.

The new bill would introduce the death penalty to some existing laws.
