Female artistes, who have excelled this year, will be awarded. Music fans will witness the pioneering of the Afrika Divas Music Awards (ADMA), which will feature female artistes only.
There are 18 categories for the awards . The prizes include Diva of the year, who will walk away with sh5m. Other catgory winners will bag sh1m.
The public has been voting by sending SMS to 7197. Voting commenced on April 13 and closed in October.
Nomination tours have been taking place in all regions of the country, since April.
The nomination list was compiled by the Divas Awards Committee and tallied by a panel of technical judges.
The results that were released recently, were based on all votes gathered from the public SMS and nominations by personalities on radio, print and television.
Juliana Kanyomozi, the artiste of the year and female artiste of the year
Grace Nakimera and Iryn Namubiru dominate the nominations. They will contest in six categories.
Cindy will go against her former group Blu3. They have been each nominated in five categories.
Desire Luzinda will be among the competitors. She will contest in four categories.
This years new all-girls singing group, Chilli Galz, will be vying for the 1m prize money.
Apparently, the organisers, funs, and media have played their part in getting the event underway.
Come December 12, every participant and interested parties will be at Theatre Labonita to witness the all female music competition.
