Trafó: Glimpse from Pakistanian culture

Pakistan, Budapest -The Qawwali is an Islamic mysticism, known as the Sufi system of performing arts. Its primary function is to uplift the audience to a mythical state of trans-lift.

And now on the 5’Th of May, on the night of Trafo’s trans-musical eve, the legendary Sabri Brothers gave a privileged glimpse into the Sufi music originating out of Pakistan.  Although the lyrics in this genre are really important, the power and passion of the performance initiated even those viewers who do not understand the words sung. The performance truly reached everyone’s heart in the audience, and insured a both unusual and uplifting experience.

The evening musical show- supported by a short documentary film helped the audience to understand and get closer to the mystical culture of Pakistan.
