Latin American Film Festival Starts in Jamaica

Kingston, Jamaica –  The sixth Latin American Film Festival of Jamaica will begin today here, aimed at promoting the culture and heritage of the region through its cinema, organizers announced today.

 

According to the program, the event coordinated by embassies in Jamaica will screen until December 10 films from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Venezuela.

A total of nine films makes up the festival, intended as a showcase of filmmaking in the region.

Spain is this year’s guest of honor, while Cuba will be represented by the film Habanastation by Ian Padrón, the note adds. (PL)
