Govt wants more international students, researchers
The government wants to boost the number of international students and researchers in Hungary and also the number of Hungarian students and researchers abroad, the minister of human resources said on Monday.
Zoltan Balog told a conference that during the new six-year European Union development period, the majority of resources to promote mobility in higher education will be used on international study programmes and internships lasting at least 3 months, in keeping with EU targets. In addition to the existing scholarship schemes, including Erasmus+, CEEPUS, Stipendium Hungaricum and Campus Hungary, a flexible scholarship programme is planned to be developed to cater for Hungarian and international students, researchers and professionals in more fields of science than what was previously available, he said.
